Charging at home or at work
A suitable charging solution depends on your parking arrangement, typical mileage, vehicle compatibility and the time available to charge. We discuss how the charger will be used before recommending equipment.
Electrical capacity and installation
We assess the available supply and the requirements of the proposed installation, including the cable route and appropriate electrical protection. Charging power is limited by the vehicle, charger and site supply; a higher-rated unit does not always mean faster charging in practice.
Considering solar and energy management
Where compatible equipment and the site arrangement allow it, charging can be considered alongside solar generation and energy management. We confirm which functions are supported by the proposed system rather than assuming every charger can use surplus solar automatically.
