Sales & Returns Policy

1. Who we are

Renewable Living Limited, company registration C106837, VAT MT 3079-0307, G. Portelli Group Head Office, Pietru Xuereb Street, Pieta, PTA1501, Malta. Contact: info@renewablelivingmalta.com. Website: www.renewablelivingmalta.com.

These terms cover our goods and associated services, including solar, energy storage, water solutions, heating, cooling and domestic appliances. Your quotation identifies the particular equipment and work included. Mandatory legal rights prevail over any conflicting term.

2. Orders, prices and scope

Prices are in euros. Consumer prices include applicable VAT; delivery, installation and other additional charges will be identified before you commit to the order. Trade quotations state whether VAT is included. No optional charge applies without your agreement.

An order confirmation records the equipment, quantity, price, delivery arrangements and any installation scope. Please check these promptly. We will not substitute another model or increase an agreed price without your agreement. If we discover an obvious listing error before accepting an order, we will explain it and offer the corrected terms or cancellation and reimbursement; this does not permit us to disregard an already binding contract.

Installation is included only where expressly stated. Unless included in the quotation, scaffolding, structural alterations, electrical upgrades, permits and disposal of existing equipment are excluded. Any necessary extra work and price require agreement before it is undertaken. We remain responsible for the services we agree to provide and for our own subcontractors.

Savings, output and running-cost estimates depend on the assumptions supplied with them, including usage, site conditions, tariffs and weather. Grants and third-party approvals remain subject to the relevant authority's rules and decisions. This does not qualify an express contractual performance commitment or excuse misleading statements.

3. Payment, delivery and access

Online orders are payable at checkout unless another arrangement is expressly agreed. Project payment stages will be stated in the accepted quotation, subject to applicable consumer restrictions on deposits and advance payments. A deposit is not automatically non-refundable.

We deliver to the locations and on the terms displayed at checkout or in your quotation. Goods will be delivered within the agreed time or, where no different time is agreed, within the statutory default period. Legal remedies for non-delivery remain available. Consumer risk normally passes when you or your nominated recipient physically receives the goods, subject to the statutory rules for a carrier independently commissioned by you.

Please provide accurate access information and tell us about restrictions before delivery or installation. Any charge for a failed visit must have been disclosed or subsequently agreed and be reasonable. Please report visible damage promptly and keep photographs where practical. Signing a delivery note or failing to report damage immediately does not remove statutory rights for defective goods.

4. Consumer change-of-mind cancellation: distance and off-premises purchases

For a qualifying online, telephone or off-premises purchase, you may normally withdraw without giving a reason within 14 calendar days. For goods, the period normally runs from the day after physical delivery; for one order delivered separately, the last delivery normally starts the period. For a service contract it normally runs from the day after the contract is concluded. Any longer period required by law applies.

Notify info@renewablelivingmalta.com or write to our address above with a clear cancellation statement before the deadline. You may use the model form below, but do not have to. We acknowledge electronic withdrawal notices without undue delay.

Return the goods within 14 days after notifying us. Contact us for practical return arrangements; obtaining our permission or a return number is not a condition of exercising your legal right. Return goods to Renewable Living Stores, Triq il-Kataniz, Ħaż-Żebbuġ, ZBG 2830, Malta. Our head-office address is for correspondence, not goods returns.

You bear direct change-of-mind return costs only where this was properly disclosed before purchase. For goods that cannot normally be returned by post, the relevant return charge or reasonable estimate must be provided before ordering. Where that disclosure was not made, or the law places collection costs on us, we bear those costs. Faulty-goods returns are dealt with separately below.

You may examine goods as you reasonably would in a shop. Opening ordinary packaging does not by itself cancel the right to withdraw. We may deduct only a legally permitted, evidenced reduction in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish the goods' nature, characteristics and functioning. We do not impose a fixed statutory-return restocking fee. Please return accessories and packaging where available and pack goods securely.

We reimburse the purchase price and the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option within 14 days of your withdrawal notice. Extra charges for an upgraded delivery option need not be reimbursed. Unless we have offered collection, we may withhold reimbursement until we receive the goods or evidence of their return, whichever occurs first. Refunds use the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise without a fee. Store credit is optional, never a compulsory replacement for a statutory refund.

5. Limited statutory exceptions and installation services

Withdrawal exceptions apply only where the law actually permits them. They may include goods genuinely made to your specifications or clearly personalised, or sealed goods genuinely unsuitable for return for health or hygiene reasons once unsealed. A standard model ordered specially for you is not automatically a custom-made product. Installing equipment does not automatically remove every withdrawal right.

If you want services to begin within the withdrawal period, we obtain the necessary express request and information acknowledgement in the required form. If you then withdraw, you pay only the proportionate amount lawfully due for work supplied at your request. The service withdrawal right is lost after full performance only when the required prior consent and acknowledgement have been obtained. Any exception for specifically requested urgent repairs is limited to its lawful scope. We do not treat optional additional work or products as automatically exempt.

6. Voluntary in-store returns — credit only

For a non-faulty purchase concluded in our physical premises, we offer a voluntary return within 14 calendar days of purchase, with proof of purchase, provided it is unused, unopened, complete and in its original saleable packaging. We issue store credit for the amount paid for the returned goods. We do not offer cash or card refunds under this voluntary scheme.

This voluntary offer excludes bespoke or personalised goods and services already performed. Collection or return transport costs are yours. Credit cannot be exchanged for cash and is redeemable against our goods or services; no expiry applies unless a different lawful validity period was clearly agreed before the original purchase. These voluntary conditions do not restrict statutory withdrawal rights, faulty-goods remedies or other mandatory reimbursement rights.

7. Consumer guarantees and faulty goods

New goods, including white goods, carry the statutory conformity protection of at least two years from delivery, with any suspension, extension or longer protection required by applicable law. Manufacturer warranties are additional; we remain responsible as the seller for statutory remedies. Necessary updates for goods with digital elements are supplied as required by law.

For a covered lack of conformity, repair or replacement is available subject to the statutory rules on possibility and proportionality. Where the legal conditions are met, a proportionate price reduction or termination and refund is available. Termination is not available for a merely minor defect. Required remedies are free, within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience, including necessary removal and reinstallation where legally required.

Notify us promptly, normally within two months of discovering the problem, with proof of purchase and a description. Original packaging is not required for a legal claim. Damage caused by misuse, accidental damage or an unrelated third-party installation is not itself a manufacturing/conformity defect, but does not remove rights concerning a separate covered defect. Any paid diagnosis or work outside legal coverage requires prior agreement. Statutory repairs carry any additional protection required by law.

8. Business customers, installers and resellers

This section applies to genuine purchases for business purposes. Consumer status depends on the transaction's purpose; holding a VAT number alone does not decide it.

Trade pricing and account approval do not create exclusivity or authority to represent us. The written trade quotation and accepted order specify payment, delivery, installation, cancellation charges and any commercial warranty. There is no contractual 14-day change-of-mind right for business orders unless expressly agreed. Non-faulty business returns require our written agreement, including any reasonable handling/transport charges agreed for that return, and are credited rather than refunded unless otherwise agreed.

There is no promise of a separate two-year commercial warranty for every business product. The applicable manufacturer's or agreed commercial warranty is supplied in writing. This does not exclude rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable latent-defect obligations. Business customers should check quantities, suitability and compatibility before ordering, without prejudice to an express recommendation or undertaking we give.

Business liabilities and remedies remain subject to Maltese law and any lawfully agreed written trade terms. These terms do not impose a blanket exclusion of liability or a waiver of mandatory rights.

9. Complaints, governing law and changes

Send complaints to info@renewablelivingmalta.com with your order details and requested resolution. If unresolved, consumers may contact the MCCAA Office for Consumer Affairs through https://services.mccaa.org.mt/home/complaint. This does not restrict access to courts or statutory dispute procedures.

Maltese law applies, without depriving consumers of mandatory protection or jurisdiction rights applicable to them. For business contracts, the competent Maltese courts have jurisdiction unless otherwise agreed. Changes apply prospectively; the terms supplied when your contract was made continue to govern that contract.
